Joe Gargiulo, Vice President
As Vice President, Joe is an integral senior member of the Automotive group and manages the day to day account operations for all Shell Lubricants leading brands which includes Pennzoil, Motorsports, Quaker State/Q, Shell ROTELLA T, Rain-X, Black Magic and Auto Expressions. As automotive team leader, Joe has fostered and developed key brand relationships that have grown the Shell Lubricants account more than 300%. An integral part of the planning and development for each account, Joe helped conceive and coordinate many best-of-class proprietary campaigns including the Pennzoil Change for Charity events with Jiffy Lube; the Pennzoil Platinum Prize, Rain-X Seemore Safety Campaign and the Pennzoil Platinum Poker Challenge. Joe has also established integral alliances with national partners in support of these brand campaigns.

Geoffrey Phelps, Vice President
As Vice President at Coyne PR, Geoffrey has more than 16 years of professional experience in consumer and business-to-business public relations, Geoffrey brings a proven track record of developing and implementing strategies that generate strong results for clients and has built an impressive breadth of industry experience in a wide variety of areas including automotive, sports, consumer products, financial, high tech, healthcare, non-profit and National Governing Bodies. As lead of the Goodyear account, Geoffrey helped develop and implement the most successful Blimp launch in Goodyear history, which generated more than 150 million consumer media impressions and more than $3.5 million in comparative advertising value.

Michael Salzillo, Assistant Vice President
As an Assistant Vice President, Michael Salzillo’s work at Coyne PR has included many consumer product launches as well as comprehensive B2B and B2C campaigns featuring both traditional media as well as social media tactics for national brands such as Goodyear, Quaker State, Pennzoil and Rain-X. He has also managed on high-profile media events for Shell Lubricants, and assists in the leveraging of Quaker State’s and Pennzoil’s NASCAR sponsorships to generate media-worthy news.
Aside from the accounts he oversees on a day-to-day basis, Michael assists in spearheading the agency’s social media think-tank “sPRocket.” His new media experience has seen him educate and work with clients such as Shell, Goodyear, Medco, BMW and Disney while working with their leadership teams to formulate strategies and policies to usher them into an emerging communication forum.
As the social media and marketing worlds are facing a crossroads with the recent legislation handed down by the FTC, Michael is well prepared to lead the agency’s internal and external education efforts on laws and ethics due to his intense training and preparation to achieve Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America.

Blair Hefty, Senior Media Specialist
As Senior Media Specialist, Blair Hefty leads the Pennzoil and Shell Rotella accounts for Shell Lubricants. His automotive public relations experience as well as his time as a motorsports writer and car reviewer for one of the country’s leading newspapers leads Coyne PR’s automotive clients to rely on him to manage media relations issues and opportunities.
He leads trade shows and consumer events for Shell Lubricants and manages national and regional auto show publicity for BMW and MINI. For Pennzoil, Blair also leads activation of enthusiast programs such as the award-winning Pennzoil Platinum Prize, which is presented at grassroots automotive events around the country. He also maximizes Pennzoil’s NASCAR sponsorship with the media. Blair was also instrumental in developing and executing a recent award-winning campaign to educate truckers about the first significant reformulation of Shell Rotella T motor oil, the #1 brand for heavy-duty diesel trucks.
Blair is also among Coyne PR’s team of seasoned technical and feature writers, producing articles for publication in trade and enthusiast media on behalf of clients.
