  CASE STUDY: HARD ROCK INTERNATIONAL | HARD ROCK IS CALLING 2008

ISSUE:
Coyne PR was charged with generating global exposure for Hard Rock Calling 2008, a two-day concert festival in London’s Hyde Park as part of Hard Rock’s Ambassadors of Rock concert tour. The goal was to spread the excitement of Hard Rock Calling 2008 beyond the U.K. and make Hard Rock International synonymous with great music events.

IDEA:
The Coyne PR team worked with Hard Rock to leverage its relationships with top musicians, including Eric Clapton, The Police, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, KT Tunstall, The Bangles and more, to generate music, entertainment and celebrity media exposure. Coyne PR also arranged for a crew from MTV News in the U.S. to travel to London to cover Hard Rock Calling 2008, offering unique exposure and access to these superstars, including backstage and V.I.P. areas, among other highlights.

IMPACT:
Media highlights included more than 20 broadcast segments across all MTV channels in the U.S., more than 20 videos and articles on MTV Online, several celebrity features in national entertainment magazines, such as People, OK!, Star and Life & Style, and more. The results were fit for a rock star, totaling more than ONE BILLION media impressions for Hard Rock Calling 2008.
