Bill Borden joined Coyne Public Relations’ health care team as a Senior Media Specialist during the spring of 2005 after a 15-year journalism career.  At Coyne PR, Bill primarily works on the Medco Health account and assists other teams with business media initiatives.

Bill worked as a Correspondent at the Reuters equities desk for 12 years.  During his tenure, he wrote about a wide variety of industries and filed market moving headlines and articles for a global audience of stock traders, securities analysts and investment banks.  Bill’s coverage areas spanned the health care industry, including hospitals, health insurers, drug and medical device wholesalers, specialty pharmaceuticals and other health care services.  Earlier in his career at Reuters, he covered retailing.  In addition to his duties at Reuters, Bill served as a shop steward at the New York Newspaper Guild.

Bill’s work appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Orange County Register, The Star-Ledger and other newspapers as well as news sections of leading Internet sites, such as Yahoo! and America Online.

Bill’s early journalism career was spent at the Times-Beacon Newspapers, a chain of weekly newspapers that covered Southern Ocean County.  Coverage included local government, school boards, police news, and feature stories.  In addition to writing, Bill took photos and assisted in designing the newspaper.  Before working at the Times-Beacon, his articles also appeared in the Asbury Park Press, The Ocean County Observer and The Times (Trenton, N.J.).

Bill graduated from Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey) in 1989 with a B.A. in English and had completed the Honors Program.  In May 2002, Bill graduated Montclair State University’s MBA program with a concentration in finance.  Bill grew up in Point Pleasant, N.J..
