As  Director of Corporate & Government Affairs, Jean provides counsel to energy, healthcare and other accounts at the agency.  Areas of expertise include government affairs, corporate social responsibility, crisis communications and executive communications.   

Jean joined Coyne PR in 2006 after two decades with Exxon Corporation.  She began her career at Exxon in 1981 as a petroleum engineer, climbing the corporate ladder through various technical/business assignments.  In 1991, she moved into the Corporate Affairs department and held positions at the state, national and international levels. 

From 1997 through 2000, as an advisor for international operations, Jean managed public affairs for a $3.5 billion development project in Sub-Sahara Africa.  Between 1994 and 1997, Jean served as a lobbyist representing Exxon Corporate in Washington, D.C., managing public policy and international business issues for corporate activities in Asia, Africa and Latin America. From 1991 to1994, she was a senior staff specialist for state government affairs activities in Texas/Alaska/Louisiana, working with government, community and media representatives on various issues, including Exxon Valdez litigation.

Jean received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, her MBA from the University of Houston and a Master of Science of Global Affairs from New York University, concentrating on international business and economics.
