ISSUE:
Mott’s turned to Coyne PR to help raise awareness of its national sponsorship of Save the Children and a new nutritional curriculum they were co-developing.
IDEA:
To highlight the new curriculum, Coyne PR created “Mott’s Nutrition Competition,” which was kicked-off at Save the Children’s worldwide headquarters with hundreds of children participating in the world’s largest apple bobbing contest. It took a 60-foot trough, more than 3,000 apples, and 5,000 gallons of water to establish the world record and to help create a magnet event that spawned national coverage.
IMPACT:
The event certainly generated record-breaking coverage, from front-page photos in newspapers nationwide, to television broadcast hits across the country – including feature segments on CNN Headline News – the event helped to highlight the Mott’s-Save the Children partnership. |
