ISSUE:
General Mills clicked on Coyne PR to help develop, coordinate and manage the company’s first-ever blogger event at its headquarters.
IDEA:
By inviting more than 65 influential women (and one man) from around the country to its Minneapolis corporate center, General Mills gave bloggers a chance to experience a rare behind-the-scenes look at beloved brands like Pillsbury and Progresso. In addition to meeting with General Mills representatives for candid feedback sessions, bloggers attended food styling seminars to learn photography tips for their posts, and visited the state-of-the-art Betty Crocker Kitchens to try several new products and work on recipe creations with staff.
IMPACT:
The event was a major success, resulting in thousands of tweets and posts about the positive experiences attendees had with General Mills. Most importantly, General Mills was able to build stronger relationships with the bloggers throughout their visit. |
