Chris Brienza, Vice President
Chris Brienza, Coyne PR’s sports team practice leader, brings nearly 20 years of senior-level PR experience within the sports industry. He spent nearly 15 years at both the league and team level in pro sports, including stints as Vice President of Sports Media Relations for the NBA and VP, Communications for Major League Soccer’s NY/NJ MetroStars (now Red Bulls), where he was voted MLS PR Executive of the Year in 2001.

Wayne Catan, Vice President
For nearly eleven years Wayne ran a one-person PR firm where he publicized the first Internet Olympics via NBCOlympics.com and served as the AOR for United Media and MSNBC Sports. He also handled high profile campaigns for Nike, USA Wrestling, USA Judo, USA Boxing, CytoSport (maker of Muscle Milk and Cytomax) and CSTV: College Sports Television (which is now owned by CBS-TV). For his accomplishments Catan was voted Solo PR Practitioner of the Year at the 2001 PRWeek Awards. He was runner-up at the 2000 PRWeek Awards in the same category.

Lauren Alba, Account Supervisor
Lauren Alba is an integral member of Coyne’s sports practice, overseeing both social and traditional media outreach programs for clients that include the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters, ESPN World Cup and Disney Sports, among others. Lauren also serves as the social media leader for Coyne’s New York office, and is a member of Coyne’s social media team, sPRocket.
