As the fashion leader for extended plus sizes, Catherines occupies a special niche in the marketplace for an extremely underserved customer. The brand is the fashion and fit authority for women sizes 16W–34W and 0X–5X, including petites, inspiring women to feel stylish, beautiful and confident. Coyne was tasked with not only raising awareness for the brand, but also positioning them as a go-to fashion destination and fit authority in the space. Through traditional media placements and by coordinating store openings in key markets, Coyne was not only able to help build awareness for the brand and its offerings, but also helped Catherines to attract new customers.

To build buzz and celebrate the opening of the new Catherines store in the DC metro area, Catherines and Coyne hosted a VIP Sip & Style shopping event for local media, bloggers and influencers the evening before Grand Opening morning. 30+ guests enjoyed sips & snacks while getting a first look at the store, checking out new Fall styles and chatting with Catherines experts. To extend some added style credibility for the brand, Coyne coordinated partnerships with three local style influencers to identify their in-store picks, which were highlighted via hangtags throughout the store. The excitement was palpable, with 90 onsite posts to Instagram Stories live from the event, and a line to get into the fitting rooms to try on the Fall collection, with over half of our guests making purchases. The memorable event experience helped create enduring fans of the brand. The relationships Coyne built with these regional plus-size bloggers continue to earn the brand consistent organic coverage over a year later.
