One of the world’s busiest airports, Heathrow International Airport was preparing for an incredible and first-ever challenge: serving as host airport for the London 2012 Olympics. Leveraging its deep travel experience, the Coyne team proposed a proactive media educational strategy that ultimately put key Heathrow executives face-to-face with top-tier U.S. press in advance of the Olympics to educate them on expansive plans to manage the Olympic-sized crowds coming to London. Following the games, Coyne continued to implement aggressive media relations tactics, helping to secure Heathrow’s place as a successful host airport pre-, during- and post-Olympics.
