Shana Walther, who is senior director of marketing & new business at Coyne PR, has joined the board of the Public Relations Society of America New Jersey, the nonprofit chapter announced today.

Walther will help produce the organization’s newsletter on the Communication’s Committee and the upcoming Pyramid Awards on the Programming Committee, as well as work on the nonprofit’s website initiative.

“Shana’s ability to build a brand through storytelling, publications and web will help us create a richer member experience,” said PRSA NJ President Jemia Kinsey Singleton. “We will continue to elevate our multi-channel outreach to strengthen our role as the go-to resource for public relations and communications throughout the Garden State.”

As the senior director of marketing and new business at Coyne PR, Walther works directly with the executive leadership of the agency on all facets of new business development and agency marketing. Walther develops and manages all external marketing materials for the agency including website development, direct mail campaigns, advertising campaigns and promotional materials. In addition, she leads external public relations efforts on behalf of the agency and spearheads agency-wide industry award submissions. In collaboration with the senior leadership of Coyne PR, Walther spearheads all new business efforts and thought leadership content.

Walther joined Coyne PR as an intern in 2007 while a student at Seton Hall University. She graduated in 2008 with her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations/Journalism, and a minor in Advertising Art & Design. Prior to graduating in 2008, Walther was named PRSA NJ’s Future PR Professional of the Year, which is given annually to an undergraduate student who demonstrates a sophisticated understanding and commitment to the public relations profession.
