As leaders and innovators in the hospitality industry, Hilton has partnered with Coyne PR to build consumer awareness for the global brand. From working on the property initiatives across several tiers, to representing Hilton’s enterprise pillars and thought leaders, Coyne’s dedicated team is an integral part of the top to bottom process of what it takes to stay at the top of travelers’ minds.

Hilton Effect — As Hilton approached its 100th anniversary, the global hospitality leader looked to Coyne to develop a thought leadership platform that would cement Hilton as a trailblazer within the industry and generate excitement for the next 100 years. The team engaged Chip Heath, best-selling author and Stanford Business professor, to examine Hilton’s role in the world and after months of extensive research and interviews with Hilton guests, team members and community members, Heath penned “The Hilton Effect.” Published in 10 languages, “The Hilton Effect” showcased the world-altering impact that Hilton has had, and continues to have, on billions of lives and thousands of communities around the globe. Available as a digital download on Amazon and the Hilton Online Newsroom, news of “The Hilton Effect” broke with a Fast Company exclusive and video content series, in addition to global support through extensive internal and external communication, conference activations and a digital hub on Fortune.com. The program was so well received that Hilton officially rebranded their foundation “The Hilton Effect Foundation.”

Hilton Trends — In the midst of the most challenging time in hospitality industry history, Hilton found itself repeatedly answering the question: How has the pandemic changed travel? As a customer-insights driven business, the team flipped the script and instead had Hilton asking: “How has the pandemic changed people?” With travelers now at the forefront of the story, The 2022 Traveler: Emerging Trends and the Redefined Traveler, A Report from Hilton was created. The inaugural report combined Hilton’s unique internal customer insights, leadership, innovation and expertise with relevant external, third-party research that validated and expanded those insights. Hilton also collaborated with travel psychologist, Dr. Kate Cummins, to provide guidance on the psychological impact the pandemic has had on travelers. Key media received a preview of the report the prior to release during a virtual event featuring top executives and the results surpassed expectations, with 958 media placements and more than 1.6 billion impressions, including top-tier publications such as The Washington Post, The New York Times, Forbes, Fast Company, AARP and New York Post. The Trends Report was so successful for Hilton that it will become an on-going trend-spotting initiative.

Hilton Tonewmemories — The travel industry was hard hit by the pandemic. Trips were cancelled; vacations postponed. As the world began to open back up and people were easing out of their homes with hopes of hitting the road in late 2020, Hilton needed to remind consumers of how travel helps them reconnect with the people and places they love. In conjunction with Hilton’s advertising campaign, “To New Memories,” Coyne helped conduct a global survey that uncovered more than 90 percent of consumers were suffering from “Travel Memory Deficit,” a condition proving just how much people missed travel during lockdown. The overwhelming survey results generated hundreds of broadcast placements across the U.S. and was featured in outlets such as Forbes, Skift, Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler and AdWeek. Globally, the campaign generated more than 720 placements and 1.6 billion media impressions.
