Coyne Public Relations was recognized with a SABRE Award for the ChapStick® Sessions Makes New Talent Shine in the Integrated Marketing category. This category is designed to recognize campaigns in which public relations played a lead strategic role, alongside other disciplines/channels such as advertising, promotions, direct, digital, etc.
Coyne PR, as part of the ChapStick® integrated communications team, was challenged with the creation of a campaign designed to establish an enduring and ownable connection between ChapStick® and its healthier lips benefit. ChapStick® was looking for a way to engage its “superfans” and connect with them in a more personal way, building brand affinity. The team landed on music as the platform that would most resonate with consumers, while creating a distinct connection back to lips. By showcasing “what healthy and happy lips can do” and aligning with the fun, beloved nature of the brand, ChapStick® Sessions surrounded the consumer with musical experiences – from online to live – and by tapping into a wide array of genres, effectively created an initiative that was a true fit for the broad consumer target.
