Coyne PR was ranked as the 2nd leading healthcare practice in the United States by the PRWeek Healthcare + Pharma Communications Awards, which showcase and celebrate the best campaigns, projects, agencies, in-house teams and individuals across the fast-growing healthcare and pharmaceutical PR sectors. Practices were judged on financial growth, client growth and retention, DE&I, flexible working, innovation and creativity.

Coyne’s healthcare practice was recognized for its work across pharma, device, diagnostics; consumer health; and health services, including health systems and patient care centers, managed care, health consultancies and consumer health service providers. Within those key areas of expertise, the practice offers integrated communications, corporate and executive communications, issues management, and full in-house creative services.

Outstanding client service, combined with creative campaigns, led the practice to a banner year. Despite the lingering effects of the pandemic on the public relations industry overall, Coyne’s healthcare practice reported an increase in total billings of 36% with nearly 80% of its clients increasing their PR budgets in 2021. Also of note was the establishment of a formal DE&I committee co-chaired by two members of the Healthcare team. The committee, which helps set policy, establish training programs, and spearhead initiatives to enhance the workplace experience has implemented forward-leaning policies that increased diversity at the firm by 37%.
